GET INVOLVED
Students can get involved with Hoosier Sport through hands-on research, school-based programming, and service-learning opportunities that support youth and communities across Indiana.

WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

Whether you are an undergraduate student, graduate student, or prospective PhD student, there are several ways to contribute to Hoosier Sport’s research and programming.
Prospective PhD Students
Work with Hoosier Sport through research mentorship, implementation science, program development, and community-based youth development projects.​
Graduate Students
Support applied research through volunteer research assistant roles, MPH internship opportunities, data collection, literature reviews, and program evaluation.
Undergraduate Students
Get involved through SPH-K 450, program implementation, data collection, independent study, and hands-on work with school and community partners

Undergraduate Opportunities

​Undergraduate students can get involved with Hoosier Sport through yearly recruitment, service-learning courses, independent study, and research opportunities. Students may have opportunities to support school-based programming, assist with data collection, contribute to program evaluation, and help with research-related projects.

​Students can also connect with Hoosier Sport through the Hutton Early Research Opportunities Program, as well as independent study options available for 1–3 credits each semester.

​Students interested in SPH-K 450 can learn more about the semester experience, including team training, school-based programming, Take 5 reflections, school-based interventions, and final presentations, and final presentations.
