BUILDING A RESEARCH-FOCUSED STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM
The Hoosier Sport and Northumbria teams worked together to develop a study abroad program that connects international learning with hands-on research experience.
Conversations focused on course design, student learning objectives, assignments, research activities, and ways IU and Northumbria students could learn from one another through virtual exchange. |
PARTNERSHIP, RESEARCH AND COLLABORATION
Faculty, staff, and students shared their work through presentations, research meetings, and informal conversations.
These sessions helped strengthen relationships, explore grant and research opportunities, and create new possibilities for future student involvement. |
SPORT, COMMUNITY, AND CULTURAL LEARNING
The learning extended beyond Northumbria’s campus.
Community visits, sport experiences, and time exploring London, Newcastle, the coast, and Durham helped the team better understand the people, culture, and places connected to the partnership. |
